Hello all, so I made it home from the world race in one piece. The race was such a once in a lifetime opportunity. I got to travel the world. I got to make friends that have turned into family. I got to have time and space to experience Christ all around the world with like minded believers.
The Lord grew me towards Himself so much during that time. Though some people on my squad I got to see just how much. At times it was hard to see how far I had come, because I was too close to it, getting to see it through others eyes help give me some perspective. Getting to go back and look at my transformation just gets me that much more excited about what comes next.
During the latter part of the race our leadership team encourages us to look towards our next steps. So after a lot of time in prayer and verbally processing I felt peace about what the Lord was calling me to do next.
The Lord spoke g42 over me. Which is something I heard a lot about on the race, but I always thought it was for people much better than me. I didn’t even think I would qualify, so for a while I just kept pushing it out of my mind. Or so I thought, if you know much about God you know He’s persistent and patient. When I finally applied, a rush of peace came over me, a calm. It was very obvious at that point that this was clearly my next journey.
After applying and getting accepted I will be attending g42 in Spain in May 2022. It was supposed to be March but Covid as always nowadays. A little bit about g42 is it stands for Generation 42. Their mission is “to empower leaders who are passionate about giving their lives to Christ, His message of radical love, and establishing the kingdom of God around the world.” Their vision is “to see thousands of communities, businesses, and enterprises all over the world practicing the Kingdom way of Jesus.” Their goal is to partner with their interns (me) and encourage in the Kingdom way of life that God has already ordained for them.
Fundraising is again a very important part of this process. More importantly though prayer is crucial. Praying for God’s guidance and grace through this process.
