I remember being fast as a child.
I remember being active and never getting winded.
Somewhere along the years as I became an adult those facts about me changed. On the Race this has become very apparent, where at home I could ignore it, because walking was not my primary way to commute.
On the Race the fastest and easiest way to get to most places we go is walking. I have come to realize I hate walking but not necessarily the act of walking. It is more so the effect that it has on my mind and self-esteem. There’s just something about being slow and constantly out of breath that has a way of eating at you.
The other day I was making my way back to our home here in Colombia for the next 2 weeks as normal. I could feel the Holy Spirit with me. He used this time to show me how He works. He said, “Sometimes slow is what works best. My timing isn’t always fast, but it’s right on time. You don’t have to compare yourself to anyone else. Wherever you are, no matter how fast or slow, I’m right here.”
I hadn’t realized the effect walking was having on my spiritual walk. I thought I was getting left behind by God. That’s the amazing part about serving a personal Lord and Savior, He meets you just where you are, even when you don’t realize you’ve moved.

Girl, you can do it. That is a good way to look at it.
Just like the song:
Put One Foot In Front Of the Other
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you’ll be walking ‘cross the floor
Put one foot in front of the other
And soon you’ll be walking out the door
You never will get where you’re going
If you never get up on your feet…………………
You are Never alone! Love you!!
